Written for the 1981 film "The Border", this song by Ry Cooder, John Hiatt, and Jim Dickenson has taken on a life of its own since then. Sung by Bob Dylan at FarmAid, Bruce Springsteen, Willie Nelson and many others, it seems as relevant now as it did then.
